"Caaaaaaaaameron!"

I felt a poke on my shoulder. Then other. And another. And another and another and yet another. Fuck.

"Yes?" I turned around to be greeted by the eyes of Lizzy: a skinny girl with frizzy red hair cut to a bob just below her ears. Also known as Lizzy, or more widely as the most annoying person in the entire school.

"I waited for you outside of algebra because I've got English right next door but you never came out. Where were you?" Lizzy smiled brightly, bouncing her way along as I walked. I guess she was alright—I mean, she did like talking a lot but I didn't mind that much. I was pretty good at tuning people out.

"Uh—I wasn't in algebra…" It wasn't a lie, it just... wasn't what Lizzy wanted to hear.

She frowned in an extremely exaggerated way. "Why?"

"I was feeling sick so I stayed in the nurse's office for a bit." That was definitely a lie, but it was good enough for Lizzy.

"Are you feeling better now?"

"A lot."

We turned into the cafeteria, AKA the high school hell hole.  I took my usual seat in the back corner and Lizzy took the one across from me. It had been my table, but now I had a stalker. A hyperactive, redheaded stalker. Wonderful.

"Can I trust you, Cameron?" she looked me in the eyes, which were studying the "Six Pillars of Character" poster that took up a small portion of the wall next to my—our—table.

"Nope." Trust was one of the six pillars of character. It was the blue one.

"I mean truly." Lizzy poked my hand. "I know you're sarcastic and all, but truly."

"Sure." This girl was growing on me, but I hoped she wouldn't pour her deepest darkest secrets out on me.

"The come here." She leaned halfway across the table. Obviously, I was supposed to do the same, but when I didn't she grabbed my hands and pulled my gently forward until our foreheads were touching.

"Can I trust you?" Her breath was warm and smelled… not bad, but different. It smelled warm, and it was a very odd sensation to smell warm.

"Yes." She was starting to freak me out a little now, but she was doing it in an odd, friendly sort of way. What the hell was I thinking now?

I expected her to speak again, but after a few seconds of silence I tilted my head up slightly do I could get a better view of her face but she took my cheek in her hand and stopped me so I moved my head back into its original position. This was weird.

"If I can trust you, then can you keep a secret, right?" When I didn't answer, she prompted me again. "Right?"

"Yes."

"Two secrets?"

"Yes."

No hesitation.

"Good." She moved her head so that her mouth was right next to my ear. "Secret Number One: I'm a vampire."

At that moment, she quickly slid her head down to the base of my neck and bit me. My first reaction was thinking Did she just give me a hickey? but I was immediately guilty for it, even though I hadn't said it and wasn't planning on it. Thinking it still made me feel like an asshole.

"Secret Number Two: You're a vampire too now."
I had sooooo much fun writing this. This is for Cameron. Inspired by Cameron. And shit. I told her I'd write it for her, and now here it is!
